Golf
Périgueux Golf Club is an 18-hole course suitable for all levels. On the banks of the Isle and the Beauronne rivers, everyone will appreciate this island of calm and greenery just 5 minutes from the historic centre of Périgueux.
Racket Sports
Le MurMur is a unique place in the Dordogne combining a multi-racket sport complex (squash, badminton and padel) with a bar and a restaurant. All that just 20 mins away from Villa Duroux.
Accrobranch
Cornille Aventure offers unique tree climbing adventure courses and a charming 18 holes mini-golf, and Laser tag outdoor on a wooded plot of 3000m2. Located 10 minutes away from the city of Périgueux, the park is featuring a beautiful natural wood, and a large hilly meadow.
Horseriding
For the animal lovers, there is an opportunity to take on horse riding lessons. Whether you’re new to horse riding, want to introduce the kids to the sport, or have not been in the saddle for some time, the local club has a suitable package for you.
Walking and Cycling
Montagrier VTT Club has over 690km of marked trails that you can discover by foot or on the bike. Through the forests and along the river, you will feel completely immersed into the wildeness but you won’t get lost, because all the tracks are well marked and described on the VTT website.
Tennis
There are several outdoor tennis courts within 5 mins drive from Villa Duroux. We can arrange it for you in advance or on the day, so all you have to do is show up and play!
Aquapark
For those who like to get wet! This is a fun day out in an Aquapark situated on the lake Coucou. With the inflatable slides, bouncy obstacles and the beach there is something for everybody to keep you entertained for a whole day.
Fishing
With spectacularly beautiful natural scenery as your backdrop and a recognised UNESCO World Heritage site at your feet, fishing in the Dordogne River is a fishermen’s dream. There is abundance of healthy and quality brown and rainbow trout, salmon, pike, zander and black-bass to name but a few.
Canoeing
Villa Duroux is situated just a few steps away from the River Dronne, so no wonder canoeing is one of our favourite summer outings. While you gently paddle down the river, you will be able to explore beautiful Dronne Valley with all the flora and the fauna treasures.
Rock climbing
The Dordogne is an ideal playground for climbing. You will be able to explore numerous trails graded to suit all ages and abilities, while supervised by experienced instructors, in order to make you enjoy the climbing safely.
Archery
Archery Dordogne offers fun sessions and introductory lessons to individuals, groups and families. All equipment is supplied and there is no strict minimum age policy. Sessions are informal and structured to cater for beginners through to intermediate.
Diving
The Dordogne area is one of the greatest cave diving areas in the world. The three rivers, Dordogne, Lot and Céle in the central, southern region of France offer over a dozen classic cave dives including some of the longest and deepest in the country, if not Europe. If you’re an experience diver or would just like to ‘take a first plunge’, Diving Center in Saint Astier has the experienced instructors and all the equipment you need.
